ESTABLISHED: Established by Section 4-9 of the Town Charter.
CHARGE/DUTIES: The Board of Ethics is charged to act in an advisory capacity to ensure that each Town public officer, official, employee and appointee, whether paid of unpaid, and whether full or part-time, is governed by a Code of Ethics as established by an ordinance.
ELECTED/APPOINTED: Appointed by the Board of Selectmen.
MEMBERSHIP: Five regular members.
LENGTH OF TERM: Four-year terms.
MEETING DATE/TIME/PLACE: Meet as necessary.
EXPERIENCE AND/OR INTEREST NECESSARY/PREFERRED TO BE A MEMBER: Some legal background is helpful.
