The Charter Revision Commission will be conducting a Public Hearing on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at the Adams Midlle School, 233 Church Street to obtain public comment on revisions to the Town's Charter. The Committee has been charged by the Board of Selectmen to consider:
a. various forms of local government available to the Town of Guilford under the laws of the State of Connecticut, including the Town's present form of government.
b. simplification and streamlining of the current budget-making process;
c. such other changes, improvements, or corrections in other current provisions of the Charter as the Charter Revision commission finds to be warranted, including creation of additional boards and commissions.
d. additions to current Charter.
All interested persons are invited to attend and be heard. Written communications will be received.
